A picturesque country 9-hole golf course in Whataroa – the gateway to South Westland.
The golf course is open for 7 days and visitors are very welcome. Club days are on Sundays and there is twilight golf on Thursday evenings during daylight saving hours.
Whataroa is also the best place to see the rare native White Heron (Kotuku). You can visit the nearby Waitangiroto Sanctuary on a guided tour and there is also an excellent 10-minute walk here with informative panels that tell you about native wetlands.
