Waitikiri Golf Club

January 14, 2015

Rated one of the top 3 courses in Canterbury & one of the top 15 courses in New Zealand with the layout based on an English golf course design.

Waitikiri has been the venue of 1972 & 1987 NZ Amateur Championships, 1987 Pacific Rim Tournament, 1995 NZ v Australia Tasman Cup, 2003 SI Amateur, Montana National Interclub Finals, the 2004, 2005 & 2006 Canterbury 72 Hole Stroke Play Championship and 2012 NZ Men’s Senior Championship.

Waitikiri Golf Club is situated on Waitikiri Drive, opposite the scenic Bottle Lake Forest and east of Christchurch approximately 15 minutes from the city centre and 5 minutes from Burwood Hospital. Waitikiri is close to the city’s beaches, within the surrounding rural and forest environment providing an attractive location for the championship golf course. It has a new Club House completed as part of the course improvements.

Visitors or green fee players are welcome at the club. You can book your round right now by either contacting us by phone, or by using our online booking form on our website.

Waitikiri is a course of great character. It has undoubted aesthetic appeal with its wooded parkland setting encompassing a colourful and varied collection of trees, with the green hue of fairway and outting surface offering a stark contrast to the black and grey trunks of the steeping pines and poplars, provide a blaze of beautiful autumn colour.
