Rakaia Golf Club 9 Holes

January 14, 2015

Situated near one of New Zealand’s finest braided rivers, this fully irrigated course offers a challenge even for the most experienced golfer.
A very well maintained, picturesque, challenging, well groomed country 9-hole course with good gardens and trees enhancing its appeal.

Only 30 minutes drive from Christchurch on State highway one, Rakaia is a well known tourist stop very popular with anglers. Rakaia river salmon fishing is some of the best in the country.

Another 9 hole course that has 2 tees per hole to give another perspective of each hole. It is amazing how moving a tee 10 yards can alter a hole. This course is a par 70. It is more open now after some trees have been removed.

Feature hole No 9, par 4. This hole is a slight dog leg left. A well positioned drive leaves a medium to short shot to a large green. Trees down to the left of the hole push drives to the right, but out of bounds waits on the right.
