Okoroire Hotel is a beautiful, famous ‘Olde World’ country pub built in the 1880’s and nestled in eighty acres of park surroundings on the banks of the Waihou River.
Our family has owned and operated this business for three generations. The hotel is constructed from native timbers and is a veritable example of a true Kiwi hotel.
With our own 9 hole golf course, Okoroire is an ideal centre for a golfing break, additionally there are a further 27 golf courses with 40 minutes of the hotel.
NOTE: This is a nine hole golf course that is more about the hotel than the golf.

If driving from Auckland the quickest and most scenic way to Okoroire is to follow state highway 1 towards Hamilton. At the bottom of the Bombay Hills take exit 447 left onto SH2 then onto SH 27, follow the signs to Matamata.
Go through Matamata to Tirau where SH 27 ends at the intersection with SH 1.
Turn left into Tirau and travel 200 metres. On your left will be two buildings shaped like a Sheep Dog and a Sheep (No Kidding !!!).
Turn left at the Sheep on to Okoroire Road and travel 6.5kms to the Hotel.
