The Karamu Golf Club was established on the 14th February 2011 and takes its name from the Karamu Stream which meanders around the course.
The club is based on a 9 hole privately owned public golf course called Golflands which is situated 5km north of Hastings on SH 2 at Mangateretere.
At the moment we have a membership of around 150 and have a closed tee on Saturday from 11:00am till 2:00pm so club competitions can be held without the public using the course.
The closed tee operates from February until the end of October, excluding public holidays.
Although the course is only 9 holes we have different tee positions on most holes when playing the back nine. The course is quite tight with both internal and external out of bounds.
The committee of the club is focused on developing a family orientated atmosphere that encourages players of all ages and ability to join.
