Motutara Golf Course also known as the Government Gardens Golf Course due to its central location next to the Rotorua CBD and the Rotorua Government Gardens.

Established in 1930, the Motutara Golf Course is a full length 9 Hole, Par 33, public golf course with four Par 3s, four Par 4s and one particularly challenging Par 5, all which are surrounded by stunning views of Lake Rotorua.

Motutara Golf course is NZGA affiliated, no bookings are necessary and they also offer special package deals for tourists and visitors which include green fees, executive club and cart hire with balls and tees for a casual or impromptu round.

The course is adjacent to an associated 280m driving range and also has NZ PGA golf professionals available for golf improvement sessions for beginners, individuals and groups by appointment.

The Motutara Pro Shop also provides members and visitors with all their golfing requirements such as the latest brand products and demo clubs, hire clubs and a prompt club repair service.
