Founded in 1928, the Gleniti Golf Club is home to an 18 hole course located in a peaceful rural setting with wonderful views of the Southern Alps around to the sea.
The course is one of only three South Island courses from which Mount Cook can be seen! It is an enjoyable, fun, but challenging course to play for players of all abilities.
The course is set on rolling country giving a great variety of holes and many different lies.
Although not long, accuracy of the tee is essential as many holes are situated around the boundary of the course.
Many of the greens are protected by bunkers or grass mounds and there are also water hazards to contend with.
Without fairway watering the course plays shorter in the summer months, but the harder grounds and bounces create different challenges. In the winter, although well drained, the course plays longer than its yardage.
It is an enjoyable, fun, but challenging course to play for players of all abilities.
