The Awatere Golf Club is a hidden gem located in Seddon, Marlborough, just a scenic 20-minute drive south of Blenheim. Established in 1927, this historic country club is famous for its unique micro-climate and exceptional drainage. When heavy rain closes other courses in the region, Awatere frequently remains completely playable.
The club features a beautifully maintained 9-hole parkland course with an open membership policy. It offers a challenging layout featuring a Par 70 (5,484m) setup for men and a Par 74 (5,340m) configuration for women. Casual players are welcome seven days a week during daylight hours, and no advance tee bookings are required.
Official club days run on Wednesdays for women and Saturdays for both men and women.
After a round, golfers can relax at the welcoming clubhouse, which boasts great bar and catering facilities.
