Ngaruawahia Golf Course sits on the banks of the mighty Waikato River. Our club is an easy 10 minutes drive north of Hamilton and an hour’s drive south of central Auckland along State Highway 1.
This very popular course is rated one of the top courses in the region, offering a test of golf for all playing levels with lush contoured fairways and well manicured greens are countered by length, strategically positioned tree and sand traps as well as difficult prevailing winds. Ngaruawahia is the course for everyone with the very best in facilities from a fully stocked pro shop and modern clubhouse catering for all occassions
The course was established on the present site in 1964 as a 9 hole course within the Ngaruawahia Race Course. It was developed into the present 18 hole course in 1971 and has enjoyed one of the largest membership bases in the Waikato ever since.
The Clubhouse was built in 2003 after the members fundraised almost $1.5 million. It has proven to be a huge asset for the community as well as the members and is available for hire for weddings and other functions.
