The Te Marua Golf Club is an 18 hole course situated in a wonderful river and bush rural setting, 5-10 minutes drive from the Upper Hutt City Centre. The course is built on gently undulating ground adjacent to the Hutt River, with just enough elevation on some holes to provide an additional challenge. The river is in play on the first hole but runs adjacent to 8 holes and many balls end up working their way towards the Wellington harbour. The existing layout was designed in the mid 1960s by the American Golf Course Architect Commander Harris who later combined with well known golfer Peter Thompson of Australia to design the Wairakei course near Taupo. He worked with the original character of the land to create a picturesque course, where native birds flourish. The course has an average degree of difficulty, making the most of the natural hazards which can make their presence known all too easily. A few bunkers are the only artificial hazards to have been added to the course over the years, showing that the original design has stood the test of time. Location: |

Pauatahanui Golf Course offers 18 holes on a 10 hole layout. The scene is rural and a pleasant walk. It is definitive in that there are no BUNKERS with most hazards being natural. Although it is a great learning ground it is a test for the more seasoned golfer. No bookings required. Address: |

| The course consists of 9 holes with 10 actual greens and 18 tees. For men, the first 9 holes are played off the white tees, followed by the blue tees for the second 9 holes.
This makes the course 4013 metres long for men. The course rating is 62.8 for men and 64.9 for women (off yellow tees) and 66.4 (off white tees). Address: |

| Karori Golf Club extends a warm welcome to visitors and encourages you to play our 18 hole course or our 9 hole Goldfields Pitch n Putt course. Our staff and members will ensure that your visit to Karori is enjoyable.
Karori Golf Course is located only 13.5km (25 minutes drive) from the central city in the Makara Valley on South Makara Road and only 10 minutes drive from Karori Park. Click here to see map and get driving directions. The course is set in an idyllic country location surrounded by native bush clad hills where only sounds you hear are birds and farm animals. The championship blue course is 5628m and the white club course is 5392m, both are par 70. The women's and men's yellow course is 4810m and par 71. The fairways are tree lined and there are two stony streams that meander across or beside all but four holes. The course rewards accuracy off the tee and several holes play to elevated greens making otherwise straightforward approaches significantly more challenging. The greens are some of the best browntop putting surfaces around. They can appear relatively flat but beware of the breaks and if your ball is above the hole you may be left with a tricky downhill putt. The Goldfields Pitch n Putt is Wellington's only 9 hole pitch and putt course with holes from 45m to 90m long. It is a good way to start for people new to the game and also is great fun for a family day out. The club has excellent practice facilities with a 240m long practice fairway, 3 bay driving nets, chipping green including bunkers and putting greens. The clubhouse provides a place to relax after your game with café and bar services available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. There are usually plenty of Tee times available and visitors are welcome every day. Address: |
